Product Description
K&N Engineering has designed a high flow air intake system (69-1014TS) in powder coated silver for the 2006 Honda Civic Si 2.0 liter engine and the 2007 Honda Civic Si 2.0 liter engine.
K&N dynamometer testing shows a 7.01 horsepower gain on the 2007 Honda Civic Si @ 6700 RPM. The air intake tube has a CNC precision machined billet mass air adaptor and a radiused filter adaptor which smoothes the air flow entering the tube.
The heat shield isolates the K&N air filter (RU-5147) from the engine compartment. The engine bay layout of this vehicle places the air box in the back, up against the firewall. Here, it would be subject to lots of heat and little, if any, outside air. To counter this, Honda uses a flex hose that leads from the front of the vehicle to the factory air box to allow for a steady supply of outside air. K&N’s air intake system takes advantage of this system by reusing the fresh air hose and connecting it to the base of our heat shield thereby supplying the K&N conical filter with cooler outside air the same way the factory system fed the stock air box when it was in place.
The 69-1014TS is designed to improve engine performance and is easy to install, usually in 90 minutes or less. K&N high flow intake systems come with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
